My First Finished Quilt Project in New Mexico

Today, I finished my first "quilt project" while living in New Mexico. The challenge was given to our quilt group in Idaho to make a Spiderweb block. I loved this block because first of all you use your SCRAPS!! Thank you Desi and Donna for the fun challenge!!

  1. Will you share the instructions? :)

I'm just barely putting together that pink and brown 9-patch quilt from 2(?) years ago. Sarah's 1st b-day is coming up. hehe

  4. For those who want to make a spiderweb quilt. Go to Bonnie Hunter's website. Here is the link. http://piecesandpondering.blogspot.com/ I actually made mine smaller. I cut an 8.5 x 8.5 sheet of paper into 4 triangles. Cut Diagonally. To make the template, measure 1 3/4 inches instead of 2 3/4 inches to make the template. Then I cut 1 1/2 inch strips to use as my first piece for the spiderweb. This makes a ring around each of the spiderwebs. It kind of unifies the whole quilt. It is a fun and simple quilt to make and uses a lot of your scarps!! Enjoy!!
